Nicki was born in Hawke’s Bay and brought up on an orchard. She spent many years working on the orchard and helping the family “on the land” during the school holidays.
She started her career in accounting over 20 years ago in a small firm with farming clients. This ignited her interest in the rural accounting area. After two years living and working in London on her OE and working in the corporate area, she returned to accounting in Hawke’s Bay before a change in 2000 saw her move into Financial Planning. She was a business owner in a Hawke’s Bay Financial Planning firm for eight years.
In 2012 she decided her passion was with accounting and joined the PKF Carr & Stanton Rural team. She enjoys the variety and challenges that farm accounting offers and being able to provide services to clients to help them with their businesses. Nicki has a broad knowledge of accounting software packages, in particular Figured, Xero and cashmanager RURAL.
Nicki is married to Martyn and they have two school aged children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and in the outdoors.
Maui received his first taste of farm accounting in 2002 which introduced him to the unique aspects of working with clients who integrate their work and lifestyle.
As an Associate Chartered Accountant, he has built expertise working with agricultural clients specifically orchards and sheep and beef farming operations. He has been involved with various farming restructures including amalgamations, in-specie distributions, forestry income spreading and income equalisation schemes.
Maui is married with two boys. He coaches his son’s rugby team and is an avid sports watcher/arm chair critic/unofficial All Blacks coach! In his spare time Maui plays the guitar and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Angela joined the team in 2007 after graduating from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies, majoring in Accounting and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. She now combines her interest in farm accounting with her taxation and business advisory skills.
Angela has a broad knowledge of accounting software packages, in particular Xero and cashmanager RURAL. Angela enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys socialising with friends and family and has completed the local Cape Challenge and Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge.
Sally was brought up in the rural area of Dannevirke. Her father and grandfather have both been heavily involved in the rural sector and this has brought about Sally’s interest in farming and farm accounting.
After finishing at Napier Girls’ High School, Sally graduated from EIT in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Studies, majoring in Accounting. She is now working towards becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Sally joined the team in 2015 and is enjoying all that rural accounting has to offer. She has quickly grasped the concept of online computer packages and the advantages they offer our rural clients.
Outside of work, Sally enjoys sport, keeping fit and spending time with family and friends.
